Wild olives lodge is located in Bwindi impenetrable national park in the southern sector; it is located in a small town called Rubuguri as the only town in Bwindi Impenetrable national park.

What Mode of Transport from Kabale to the Lodge and from Kisoro to the Lodge?

There are several means of transport one can choose to take though no public means of transport to the lodge, we recommend that most tourists do car hire at the $100 to $150 from Kabale town to the Lodge and from Kisoro town to the lodge $80 to $120, there are several vehicles and guides one can hire to the lodge. Can I stay at the lodge for more than 1 night or 2 nights?

Yes you can take as many days and nights at the lodge but because of high demand for lodge, you can request this before but for volunteers in the area, you can negotiate for a reduced cost depending on the period you would wish to spend.

Can pay in Advance?

You can pay in advance, this means that you very secured for where to stay when comes ,You can pay before a month or 2 month or 6 month or 1 year, You can pay for either one room or two  or for the entire  lodge.

Can I stay at the Lodge before gorilla tracking and after gorilla tracking?

One can stay at the lodge before gorilla tracking and after gorilla tracking and this is to avoid uncertainties going for Gorilla tracking because you never know what happens on your way to tracking gorilla’s but also you need to rest after gorilla tracking at the Lodge because you never know where you find the Gorilla in the forest and what distance.

Which gorilla families can track?

There are several gorilla families in the southern sector where you can do gorilla tracking staying Wild Olives Lodge. There is Nkuringo gorilla family; there is Rushaga which has the biggest gorilla families that include Nshongi, Bweza, Kahungye, Mishaya, Busingye. Therefore be among the tourists tracking the gorilla families in the Southern sector using our beautiful lodge.

Are tour operators acceptable to bring their guests to the lodge?

All tour operators in Uganda and Rwanda are highly welcome to use our Lodge on the basis that we do not discriminate anybody willing to bring his or her own clients to stay at Wild Olives Lodge, The Lodge is open for every tour operator.

Can I walk around the Lodge?

You are not limited for walking around the Lodge, You can do village walk around the lodge hills, you can visit the community and engage in community Organizations through participation which is very interesting, and you can pay a visit to the pygmy community as and get the greatest memory experience.

What time does gorilla tracking start?

Before gorilla tracking all tourists moves to centre of briefing, every tourist is registered by the clerk, then the briefing starts, after briefing from the experienced rangers, then, there is division of groups that track gorilla families however Gorilla Tracking starts 2:30am.

Does the lodge prepare food?

The has a well facilitated and Modernized kitchen with well experienced chefs that prepare for your food both international and local dishes  depending on what one wants to eat restaurant opens from 6:00am to 10:00pm.
